It's been mooonths since I've submitted a fanart to my DA account. Haven't had the drive to draw. Partly because cosplay overtook my free time, as show by my billion of photo uploads. But tonight I felt like drawing! (Though I should have been cleaning the house instead. Bah.)

This is for 's June contest. The theme is "light" this month. Ironically this is the darkest thing I've done so far.
I'm kind of imaging this post-series--something like Fakir can't sleep until he finishes whatever it is he is writing. Not like it matters too much but that's what I had in mind.

I've never really worked with shadows before. What I did (I was bored last night don't judge me XD) was take a pic of myself with one little lamp on and just copy where the shadows went.
The shadows on the hands were harder to do...sorta failed there, though the more I look at it, the less it bothers me. (Which is weird--it is usually the opposite with my art. XD) I'll need to practice with dramatic lighting some more.
